Jen's Goals
-
Reducing the energy needs of the district
-
We can do this by updating older infrastructure & equipment.
-
Utilizing renewable energy for our infrastructure.
-
Doing this will reduce rates in the long term!
-
-
Long term water supply stability.
-
We import 100% of our water either from the Colorado River or the CA aqueduct. But these sources may not be 100% reliable in the future.
-
So we need to act now to secure our long term water supply.
-
That means working with adjacent agencies to secure supply.
-
Investing in water generation projects.
-
-
-
Improve the districts outreach and public education programs.
-
Right now our outreach is decent, but it can be better.
-
People want to know what is in their water, what those things do, and why they are in there in the first place.
